This was a Middle Eastern themed pop up inspired by my love of food from all over this tumultuous part of the world. It is my knee jerk cuisine, the one I return to again and again and one which went down extremely well with the guests who arrived that evening.

To start…

Baba Ganouj (v) from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine and Israel

Butterbean and smoked paprika houmous (v) from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine and Israel

Muhammara (red pepper and walnut) (v) from Syria, Turkey

 With Turkish pide bread

Main Course

Butternut squash, green lentil and pomegranate salad (v) from Israel

Beetroot and parsley salad (v) from Morocco

Labneh cheese (v) from all over the Middle East

Lamb kibbeh from Israel, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Egypt, Turkey

or Red lentil and bulgur kofte (V)from Turkey

Kuku-ye sibzamini (spiced potato and egg pancakes)(v) from Iran

Turshi left (pickled turnips) (v) from Iran

Grilled Romano peppers with Çiftlik Peyniri (farm cheese) (v) from Turkey

 With Turkish pide bread


Rose and Orange Basbousa with lemon cream (v)  from Egypt, Turkey, Jordan

Moroccan mint tea to finish…….
